 MIOSHA Holds Situational Awareness Webinar to Help

Prevent Workplace Injuries 

Join MIOSHA on Thursday, May 21st, at 1:00 p.m. for a webinar on strengthening situational awareness to help prevent struck-by, crush-by, and caught-in workplace incidents. In Michigan, 57 percent of occupational fatalities in 2025 resulted from contact-related accidents, underscoring the need for greater awareness of changing conditions and surrounding jobsite activity. This webinar is designed for workers, supervisors, and safety professionals committed to maintaining safer worksites and preventing serious injuries and fatalities.

Information for Businesses Regarding Federal Tariff Refunds

The Trump administration recently launched an online portal for businesses to claim refunds for paid import tariffs deemed illegal by the Supreme Court. The refund platform, called the Consolidated Administration and Processing of Entries, is now active and can be accessed by visiting the U.S. Customs and Border Protection resource page. It is estimated that $166 billion in tariff refunds are owed. Once a claim is approved, refunds will be processed within 60 to 90 days, according to the agency.
