Michigan’s Construction Industry Rallies for Prompt Pay Legislation

Leaders from Michigan's construction industry headed to Lansing on May 16th to discuss Senate Bill 451, the “Michigan Construction Payment Act,” which would require prompt pay for construction contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers. Michigan and all other states require prompt pay on public construction projects. Michigan is, however, one of a few states that does not require prompt pay for private construction projects.
