Recapping the 2026 Great Lakes Design & Construction EXPO

The 2026 Great Lakes Design & Construction EXPO was a great success, welcoming over 1,300 attendees and 120+ exhibitors to the Vibe Credit Union Showplace (formerly the Suburban Collection Showplace) in Novi on Tuesday, February 3rd.

The event featured five educational sessions and an Economic Forecast Breakfast, where Fan-Yu Kuo, Senior Economist at the National Association of Home Builders, shared insights on Michigan’s construction outlook, market trends, and the growing impact of data center development.

CAM’s 140th Annual Meeting included a keynote from gubernatorial candidate Mike Duggan, who, under the theme “Moving Michigan Forward Together,” discussed economic challenges, urban revitalization, and the need for clear standards on data center development.
