The 9th Annual Legislative Breakfast Takes Place This Friday

Michigan’s new Paid Sick Leave law, set to take effect on February 21, 2025, brings significant changes for employers and employees statewide. Under the Earned Sick Time Act (ESTA), all Michigan-based workers—including part-time, seasonal, and gig employees—will now accrue one hour of sick leave for every 30 hours worked, up to 72 hours per year. This law applies to all businesses, regardless of size, and introduces broader coverage compared to the previous law. John I.
