Building Connections brings together GCs, subcontractors, developers, architects, engineers, and industry partners for an evening of networking in support of Scouting programs for local youth and families. Hosted in partnership with CAM and the Building Connections Executive Committee, the event features gourmet food stations, an open bar, silent auction items, raffle prizes, and more.

 Wayne State University Winter Layoff Health Study 

 Edward Kerr, a Ph.D. student in Wayne State University’s Exercise Physiology program, is conducting a research study examining how winter layoffs affect the health of male workers ages 25-55 in construction and other physically demanding jobs. The study needs both seasonal workers who are laid off between November and March and year-round workers who continue working through the winter. Participants will complete two lab visits, brief online check-ins, and health assessments. Participants receive $140 in compensation.
